As a lifelong athlete and exercise enthusiast, I've been impressed by the complex functional abilities and innate poetic intelligence of the body.
My journey into the health and wellness field began when I graduated from Bauman College in 2013 and became certified as a Nutrition Consultant. In 2016, I began attending the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine located in Portland, Oregon, where I received a Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. While in school, I interned at Legacy Good Samaritan Hospital's Pain clinic, which specializes in orthopedic pain conditions and focuses on reducing patient's dependence on opioid medications. Also, I completed a Community Health externship at the Quest Center for Integrative Health where I assisted in detoxification and rehabilitation in an out-patient setting using the NADA protocol. Further, I had the amazing opportunity of mentoring with nationally renowned acupuncturist, CT Holman, in his private clinic for 6 months. For my Master's thesis presentation, I researched and presented on the role that acupuncture and integrative therapies can play in alleviating Ulcerative Colitis.
If I wasn't an acupuncturist, I would most definitely spend my time traveling the world and savoring the food culture of street markets and hole-in-the-wall restaurants. In my spare time, I enjoy watching movies & documentaries, playing chess, practicing Tai Chi, reading random books, and playing/watching football & basketball.

My academic experience began at Michigan State University where I studied Biochemistry and Molecular Biology for three and a half years, before switching my major to Kinesiology. While I enjoyed hunkering down in the Biochemistry lab, it was the study of anatomy and the mechanics of human movement that gave me a passion for understanding the human body. In December 2015, I graduated from Michigan State University with my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Specialization in Health Promotion.
In 2016, I moved to the beautiful state of Oregon to study Traditional Chinese Medicine at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. During my studies, I interned at Legacy Hospital's Pain Clinic where I focused on the treatment of chronic pain with acupuncture. In addition, I attended workshops held by renowned acupuncturists, such as Dr. Jason Robertson, CT Holman, and Takahiro Funemizu Sensei. For my thesis project, I researched the potential role that acupuncture can play in mitigating the negative effects of mild traumatic brain injuries. My background in studying the mechanics of body movement, my love for martial arts and my fascination with the human brain has lead me to focus on treating musculoskeletal disorders and concussions. While I focus on these conditions, I also treat emotional conditions, stress & anxiety, chronic pain, digestive issues, and much more. In my free time, I enjoy practicing and teaching Taiji, hiking and camping with my dog Maddux, delving deep into Chinese Medicine books and getting creative in the kitchen.
